About ERID
The Club is the official Democratic club for the neighborhoods in Midtown Manhattan East, including Union Square, Gramercy, Flatiron, Kips Bay, Murray Hill, Tudor City, and Turtle Bay. With over 100 members, we focus on local issues, as well as those affecting our nation more broadly through advocacy, actions and coalition building.
Championing Democracy
The Club works to identify, interview, endorse, and help elect Democratic candidates for judicial and political positions on the local, state and federal levels that reflect our interests and values. The Club helps to influence policy and the shaping of the Democratic Party’s and candidate’s platforms through direct engagement.
Building Community
The Club serves our community and neighborhoods by working together with elected officials, community groups, and neighborhood associations. The Club sponsors numerous volunteer and social events throughout the year.
Promoting Scholarship
Our scholarship program is aimed at encouraging civic engagement by local youth.
